Skylee was born and raised in Montana and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Montana. After spending a few years in Sydney Australia, she moved to Virginia and recently earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is currently practicing as a Resident in Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Jeanne Brooks.
She has over ten years of experience working with young adults and teens who have experienced a wide range of emotions and concerns. These include navigating life adjustments, parenting stress, trauma, grief, and anxiety as well as religious wounds and adverse experiences. Skylee also has experience working with individuals who are working on lifelong sobriety from substance use. She is also SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) certified and is available to work with couples who are looking for premarital counseling.
She believes that each individual deserves a place for their unique story to be heard, and understood and therefore each counseling session can be tailored to what works best for each client. These may include different approaches such as traditional talk therapy, play techniques, and creative and expressive arts.
In her free time, she enjoys being creative with anything art related, traveling, spending time with her close friends, and spending time with her cat, Cricket.
