Sydney is currently a Resident in Counseling and recently graduated with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Sydney is supervised by Dr. Jeanne Brooks and Dr. Trish Kimball. Sydney has a passion for working with children and has experience facilitating play therapy sessions with toddlers, adolescents, and school-aged children. Although Sydney has mostly worked with minors, Sydney has also assisted adults. Areas that Sydney has experience assisting clients in include grief work, family conflict, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), difficult life transitions, depression, and anxiety.

Sydney believes that each person is uniquely designed and therefore tailors counseling sessions to what works best for each individual. Ways in which she approaches therapy have included talking, using play techniques, sand tray therapy, and other creative expressive arts. Sydney prefers a gentle approach to counseling and believes in the importance of creating a safe and nurturing space for clients to be heard. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, going for walks, creating art, and baking.
